MAKS 9671 FLOCCULANT FOR JUICE CLARIFICATION
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
MAKS 9671 is a high molecular weight, water-soluble, anionic powder flocculant.
AREAS OF USE
MAKS 9671 is used as a flocculant in the filtration and purification of sugar cane syrup.
FEATURES
MAKS 9671 increases the collapse rate. Reduces the residence time in the purification step.
DOSING & FEEDING
Preparation: Prepare 0.1% solution by adding 1 kg MAKS 9671 to 1000 liters of pure water at 50-60°C. The mixing vessel should be equipped with an air spray pipe, an eductor or a low speed mixing apparatus that mixes at less than 400 rpm.
The solution should be kept in the resting tank for at least 2 hours. Since the flocculant solution loses its activity within 24 hours, a one-day or one-shift solution should be prepared.
Usage: MAKS 9671 should be added to the slurry before purification. For best results, the solution should be gently stirred for 2-3 minutes before introduction into the system. Depending on the amount of hops, a dosage of 1-3 ppm is recommended.
