MAKS 9645 SUGAR EVAPORATOR SCALE INHIBITOR
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
MAKS 9645 is based on an aqueous solution of polyacrylates.
AREA OF USE
MAKS 9645 prevents deposits in sherbet evaporators in sugar mills. It has been developed especially for the production of sugar from sugar beet and sugar cane. In these processes, the slurry is either not softened at all or only partially softened.
MAKS 9645 either prevents or limits the formation of deposits of undissolved salts on the evaporator heat transfer surface. This reduces steam consumption. This increases evaporator efficiency and production capacity while reducing or eliminating the need for chemical and mechanical cleaning and other problems in the process.
FEATURES
Excellent anti-deposition
Reduces the crystallization increase of undissolved salts.
Dispersant properties that keep the crystals in slurry form
Crystallization modification preventing the deposition of calcium and magnesium salts
Excellent thermal stability
Easy handling – a harmless product according to European standards.
Complies with the following regulations;
European sugar industry regulations
FDA regulations 21 CFR 173.73

DOSAGE
The specific dosage of MAKS 9645 depends on the operational characteristics of the diffusion system, the beet quality and the frequency of microbiological problems.
Typical dosage ranges from 6-8 ppm for the first evaporator.
In most applications MAKS 9645 should be injected continuously into the dosing pump. It can be used diluted or undiluted. Feeding can be done automatically, even with regular hardness measurement.
