MAKS 9670 BIO-SURFACTANT FOR DEXTRAN CONTROL & DECOLORIZING AGENT

MAKS 9670 BIO-SURFACTANT FOR DEXTRAN CONTROL & DECOLORIZING AGENT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 9670 is a complex mixture of inorganic and organic polymers, cationic in nature.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 9670 synertistic mixture has been proven highly effective in the Cane Sugar Industry to control Dextran in the mixed use, and can also be used effectively as a syrup decolorizing agent.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Improve the color of the mixed juice
  • Improve filtration in the secondary clarification
  • Liquid, easy to handle
  • Completely miscible with water
  • Effective over a wide pH range
  • Improve efficiency in belt filters, filter presses or cachaza/filtercake
  • Reduces treatment sludge
  • Reduces or eliminates the need for pH adjustment
  • Forms a large, rapid settling floc
  • Is effective at low temperatures

DOSAGE & FEEDING

Used as a primary coagulant (5-10 ppm) and clarify by using an anionic polymer (2-4 ppm).

If MAKS 9670 is used in the imbibition water between 4-6 ppm the humidity will be reduced in the bagasse and thereby reduce POL (recovering sugar from loss).

MAKS 9670 is used to hydrolyze dextran causing it to disappear. There is no need to use a Dextranase which is extremely expensive. Begin dosage at 5 ppm.

Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.

MATERIALS: Storage and application equipment (pumps, lines) should be made of PVC, PP, PU, PE, Teflon, Viton, Hypalon or Rubber. Do not use Aluminium, Brass, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel (304, 316), Nickel, Carbon Steel or Copper Alloys in contact with the neat product.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of protective equipment such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.

The product can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.

MAKS 9670 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.

APPLICATION METHOD AND QUANTITY

The dosage quantity of the product changes according to the operating conditions and water chemistry of the system. BIMAKS representative will propose the appropriate dosage quantity to ensure maximum conditioning performance based on the distributed system parameters.
