MAKS 9651 BIOCIDE FOR MILL SANITATION

MAKS 9651 BIOCIDE FOR MILL SANITATION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 9651 is highly concentrated solution of an imidazolin-derivate with cationic charge. MAKS 9651 is broad spectrum microbiocide that can be effective in controlling the growth of algae, bacteria and fungi.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 9651 is used in recirculation systems for cooling purposes and in pasteurizers as well as in the sugar industry by spraying the diluted product onto the cossettes prior entering the diffuser or the beets storage bunker. Fouling of heat exchangers, screeners and strainers of thin juice is a further area for application of the product.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Highly effective, concentrated biocide
  • Effective against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria
  • Disperses microbiological deposits through excellent surface-active characteristics
  • Supports other microbiocidal programs (like oxidizing biocides)
  • Is very effective against slime-forming bacteria and algae
  • Also active under slightly acid conditions as in diffusion processes
  • Is preferably adsorbed on the surface of the cossettes
  • Can also be applied for preserving thick juice
  • Does not interfere with the fermentability of molasses if dosage recommendations are followed.

DOSAGE

The specific dosage of MAKS 9651 depends on the application and microbiological contamination.

Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.

FEEDING

MAKS 9651 is applied on a discontinuous base (shock dosing) in recirculation systems and to the medium temperature zones in pasteurs. Do not overdose because of risk of excessive foaming. The product should not be applied together with other cooling water dispersants (anionic polymers) because of cationic charge. In the sugar industry it is sprayed onto the beets/cossettes after inline dilution of the product to a concentration of approx. 1%. To difusser/thin juice MAKS 9651 can be fed neat to a point in the system where it will be uniformly mixed and thoroughly distributed.

MATERIALS: Storage and application equipment (pumps, lines) should be made of Stainless Steel, PE, PP, PVC or Carbon Steel. Do not use Brass or Copper in contact with the neat product.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.

MAKS 9651 can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.

MAKS 9651 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.

APPLICATION METHOD AND QUANTITY

The dosage quantity of the product changes according to the operating conditions and water chemistry of the system. BIMAKS representative will propose the appropriate dosage quantity to ensure maximum conditioning performance based on the distributed system parameters.
