MAKS 9117 CORROSION INHIBITOR

MAKS 9117 CORROSION INHIBITOR

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 9117 is an aqueous carbonic acid and oxygen overhead corrosion inhibitor containing film forming amines.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 9117 is corrosion inhibitor formulated to control corrosion due to HCl, H2S, organic acids, CO2, HCN.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Holds corrosion inhibition properties at high temperatures and in low pH systems
  • Has no emulsification effect on treated streams
  • Provides corrosion protection on overhead
  • Provides metal passivation
  • Reduces overhead maintenance cost

DOSAGE

The specific dosage of MAKS 9117 varies depending on pH value, oil quality and HCl, H2S, organic acids, CO2, HCN content in the oil. MAKS 9117 should be fed to maintain a pH of 6-7 on overhead.

Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance.

FEEDING

MAKS 9117 should be fed neat (undiluted). MAKS 9117 must be fed continuously to prevent corrosion. The product should not be mixed with other chemicals.

MATERIALS: Storage and application equipments (pumps, lines) should be made of stainless steel 304 and 316, PE, PP or Teflon.

Do not use Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Fiberglas, Galvanized steel (Zinc), Carbon steel, Nickel, PVC or PU in contact with the neat product.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipment such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.

MAKS 9117 can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.

MAKS 9117 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.

APPLICATION METHOD AND QUANTITY

The dosage quantity of the product changes according to the operating conditions and water chemistry of the system. BIMAKS representative will propose the appropriate dosage quantity to ensure maximum conditioning performance based on the distributed system parameters.
