MAKS 2240 PRE PASSIVATION PRODUCT
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MAKS 2240 is a liquid pre-passivation providing product used to remove oil, dust, lime, clay and iron oxides from new systems or systems containing sensitive metals.
PRINCIPAL USES
MAKS 2240 is a pretreatment product providing the passivation of metal surfaces effectively in the water-side of new and well- established industrial cooling water systems. By allowing smooth stratification between corrosion inhibitor and maximum heat transfer, the product helps to remove oil, silt and other harmful substances.

DOSAGE
The specific dosage of MAKS 2240 varies depending on the operating characters of your system and the water chemistry.
Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according
to your specific system parameters.
FEEDING
MAKS 2240 should be fed neat to a location in the system where it will be uniformly mixed and thoroughly distributed. The product should be fed preferably to tower sump. MAKS 2240 must be fed continuously; any interruption in feed will result in corrosion and possible tube failure.
MATERIALS: Storage and application equipments (pumps, lines) should be made of stainless steel 304, CPVC pipe, PE, PP, Plasit 4300 or Plasit 7122. Do not use brass, neoprene, Viton, Buna-N, PU, EPDM or Hypalon in contact with the neat product.
HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING
As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety inform ation.
MAKS 2240 can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.
MAKS 2240 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.
