BOILER WATER TREATMENT

MAKS 1420 BOILER TREATMENT

MAKS 1420 BOILER TREATMENT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 1420 is a special blend of synthetic organic polymers, sulfite and phosphates.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 1420 is designed to assure a high level of cleanliness in the boiler system, especially on the heat transfer surfaces. The product supports internal metal passivation in feedwater and boiler system. MAKS 1420 can be used at boiler systems with deaerators and with demineralized, RO-permeate make-up with a total hardness up to 5 ppm. MAKS 1420 is not volatile and is in compliance with FDA and USDA regulations. MAKS 1420 can be used at pressures up to 40 bars.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Designed for low alkalinity RO-permeate or demineralized feedwater boiler systems
  • Prevents scale formation and resulting tube failures
  • Includes online cleaners removing scale and iron deposits during operation
  • Multifunctional product: includes oxygen scavenger
  • Reduces deposits, resulting in more efficient heat transfer, energy savings and fewer acid cleanings

DOSAGE

The specific dosage of MAKS 1420 varies depending on the feed water quality and pressure.

Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.

FEEDING

MAKS 1420 is applied neat or diluted with softened water, condensate (<35°C) or deaerated boiler feedwater via a stainless steel quill into the suction side of feedwater pump.

MAKS 1420 must be feed continuously; any interruption in feed will result in scale or deposit formation and possible tube failure. If feed water is used for steam attemperation, the product must be fed downstream of the attemperation water takeoff.

MATERIALS: Storage and application equipments (pumps, lines) should be made of stainless steel 304 and 316, PE, PVC or PTFE. Do not use aluminum, copper, brass, polyester or zinc in contact with the neat product.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.

MAKS 1420 can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.

MAKS 1420 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.

APPLICATION METHOD AND QUANTITY

The dosage quantity of the product changes according to the operating conditions and water chemistry of the system. BIMAKS representative will propose the appropriate dosage quantity to ensure maximum conditioning performance based on the distributed system parameters.
