REVERSE OSMOSIS PRODUCT

MAKS 400P REVERSE OSMOSIS ANTISCALANT (NSF)

MAKS 400P REVERSE OSMOSIS ANTISCALANT (NSF)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 400P is super-threshold agent able to stabilize a wide range of supersaturated salt solutions.

PRINCIPLE USES

MAKS 400P is one of the principal antiscalants used by the membrane industry. For many years MAKS 400P has found application as an antiscalant and antifoulant in membrane systems using a wide selection of brackish, high salinity, process and effluent feed-waters.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

Highly effective antiscalant across a broad spectrum of waters

Minimizes scale formation and reduces frequent membrane cleaning

Reduces or replaces the need for acid

Cost effective application due to low dose rate

Compatible with all membrane types

More stable and more effective than sodium hexameta-phosphate (SHMP)

Enables systems to work at enhanced rates of recovery

Extensive portfolio of toxicological and environmental data available

NSF approved for use in potable water production up to 10 ppm (mg/lt)

Reverse osmosis membranes face a constant risk of clogging due to dissolved minerals, suspended solids and bacterial content in the raw water fed into the system. Operational conditions, temperature and pressure of the fed water change the extent of these risks. Membranes fed with water that is not properly conditioned foul and fail in a short time. The quantity and quality of the produced water decreases. Therefore, the use of antiscalants and biocides in reverse osmosis systems is critical for plant life.
