AREAS OF USE
MAKS 11292 downstream applications are mainly concentrated in the following areas:
-Ester production: Sebacic acid can be used to make various esters, such as dibutyl sebacate, dioctyl sebacate, diisooctyl sebacate, etc. These esters are widely used as plasticizers for plastics and cold-resistant rubbers.
-Polymer production: As a raw material, sebacic acid can be used to produce many types of polyamides (such as nylon 1010, nylon 910, nylon 810, nylon 610, nylon 9, etc.).
-Lubricants and additives: Sebacic acid is also used in the production of high temperature resistant lubricants and lubricant additives such as diethylhexyl ester.
-Surface coatings: As a raw material for alkyd resins, sebacic acid is used in the production of surface coatings, plasticized cellulose nitrate coatings and urea resin varnishes.
