GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MAKS 140G is a powder product containing a blend of dry acids. It is inhibited to help protect metals commonly encountered in industrial equipment. The dye indicator produces a color change in MAKS 140G solutions as the acid strength is depleted.
PRINCIPAL USES
MAKS 140G is a dry acid product specially formulated for removing water hardness deposits from industrial equipment. It is particularly effective in dissolving calcium carbonate scale formed in water lines, fireside low-pressure boilers, evaporators, air conditioning systems, and process equipment. It is dry form and built-in dye indicator makes it convenient for use in routine maintenance cleaning. MAKS 140G contains an effective inhibitor that helps minimize corrosion in the acid cleaning application.

DOSAGE
The specific dosage of MAKS 140G is 2-5 % in water based on the system water capacity. 2 kg of MAKS 140G will dissolve up to one kg of most calcium or magnesium salts. When the scale is heavy or very adherent, higher solution strengths or several cleanings may be necessary for complete scale removal.

FEEDING
MAKS 140G should be dissolved in water. Pour or pump into equipment to be cleaned and circulate. The product may be added directly to a water system where good solution and mixing of the chemical are assured.
MATERIALS: MAKS 140G is compatible with most metals and plastics during normal cleaning procedures, which should last only a few hours. Long or continuous use on galvanised or aluminium surfaces should be avoided.
HANDLING – STORAGE – SHIPPING
As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of protective equipment such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.
The product can be stored up to 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.
MAKS 140G is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.
