WASTEWATER TREATMENT

MAKS 6130 CATIONIC POWDER FLOCCULANT

MAKS 6130 CATIONIC POWDER FLOCCULANT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 6130 is a high molecular weight powder polymer with a medium cationic charge density and is readily soluble in water.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 6130 can be used in a wide range of applications, like

– Belt filter, centrifuge, screw press de-watering-increased production rate, cake solids and solids capture

– Thickening – improved compaction, settling drainage and effluent quality

– Dissolved air flotation – results in clearer supernatant, increased float solids and plant throughput

– Secondary clarification – improves final quality by reducing suspended solids and turbidity.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

– Easily soluble in water

– Produces dense, rapidly settling flocs

– Is highly active and therefore effective at low dosage rates

– Improve throughput and cake solids

– Contributes little to solids for further processing or disposal.

DOSAGE

The specific dosage of MAKS 6130 will vary depending upon the operating characteristics of your system, the type of wastewater, sludge treatment.

Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.

FEEDING

MAKS 6130 can be applied up to a maximum concentration of 0,3%. Solutions should be aged for 30 – 60 min for maximum effectiveness. High quality make up water should be used. Secondary dilution water should be added to the stock solution prior to the addition point at a ratio of at least 10:1.

For non-automatic batch preparation:

– Introduce water in the preparation tank until the mixer blades are covered and start agitation

– Fully open the inlet water valve of the MAKS DISPERSER TYPE II and pour the pre-weighed amount of

MAKS 6130 in the funnel

– Keep the water valve open until the desired tank level is reached

– Keep the mixer on for 30-60 minutes according to water temperature and concentration of the solution

– Stop the mixer as soon as possible as the solution is complete.

MATERIALS: Storage and application equipment (pumps, lines) should be made of PVC, PP, PE, Stainless steel (Types 304, 316), Plasite (Types 4005, 6000, 7122), Viton, Teflon, Hypalon, or Buna-N. Do not use Aluminum, Mild steel, Brass, Nickel, Neoprene, Vinyl or Polyurethane.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of protective equipment such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.

The product can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.
