MAKS 2212 MULTIFUNCTION COOLING WATER TREATMENT
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
MAKS 2212 is a multifunctional zinc/phosphate/phosphonate based blend of scale and corrosion inhibitors
PRINCIPAL USES
MAKS 2212 is a complete corrosion and deposit inhibitor program for open recirculating cooling water systems with wide range of hardness in an alkaline environment.
MAKS 2212 needs to be applied with MAKS 2108A which contains high performance dispersants to control scale deposition and to prevent fouling. The dispersants enable the program to be used over a wide range of operating conditions.
PRODUCT BENEFITS
- Specially designed for open cooling systems with wide range of hardness in alkaline environment with excellent scale control
- Excellent corrosion protection on C-steel, prolongs equipment life even in highly corrosive environment
- Can operate at alkaline pH, which buffers against pH upsets
- Excellent for systems with long holding times and high water temperatures
- Easy to apply and control.
DOSAGE
The specific dosage of MAKS 2212 varies depending on the operating characteristics of your system and the water chemistry.
Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.
FEEDING
MAKS 2212 must be fed continuously to the system water at a point of high turbulence proportional to makeup rate. Slug feeding is not acceptable. If flow is sufficient, dosing in the central makeup water line is acceptable. MAKS 2212 must be fed to the system using suitable feeding equipment. Do not dilute or mix MAKS 2212 with other chemicals.
MATERIALS: Storage and application equipments (pumps, lines) should be made of PE, PP, PVC, Plexiglas, Hypalon, Teflon or Neoprene. Do not use Carbon steel, Stainless steel, Copper, Brass, Aluminum or cast iron in contact with the neat product.
HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING
As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.
MAKS 2212 can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.
MAKS 2212 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.
APPLICATION METHOD AND QUANTITY
The dosage quantity of the product changes according to the operating conditions and water chemistry of the system. BIMAKS representative will propose the appropriate dosage quantity to ensure maximum conditioning performance based on the distributed system parameters..
