Hello, Dear Customer!
On this page, we have attempted to calculate your potential losses based on the types of deposits that may form on the surface of your heat exchanger. These calculations are for informational purposes only and are based on certain assumptions.
Note: This calculation module is currently in the testing phase!
We recommend that you contact your sales representative for more detailed information.
Please enter the values carefully and click the “Calculate” button to obtain the technical result.
Heat Exchanger Deposit & Cost Calculator
Preliminary estimate · Constant effective temperature difference · Supplemental heat replacement
Use flow and inlet/outlet temperatures from the SAME liquid stream when the exchanger was CLEAN. Do not use the temperature difference between the hot and cold streams. Single-phase sensible heating/cooling only.
Enter your data, then select Calculate. Heat-source assumptions are shown after selection.

Preliminary estimate using reference conductivities. Assumes complete, uniform coverage of one surface, constant area and effective temperature difference, and constant deposit thickness throughout the operating period. Cost is the expense of fully replacing the heat shortfall with a separate source, not a measured bill increase. Pressure drop, pumping and cooling-system COP effects are excluded. Use deposit bulk density, not pure-crystal density, for mass calculations. At fixed clean duty and U, area changes deposit volume, not the percentage reduction.
