MAKS 9660 CRYSTALLIZING AID

MAKS 9660 CRYSTALLIZING AID

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 9660 is a special additive designed to improve sugar end operations.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 9660 is used as crystallizing aid that designed for sugar beet processing and cane sugar manufacturing.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Effective foam prevention in the white masse cuite process areas in sugar plants
  • Enhanced crystallization process
  • Increase sugar yield and lower molasses purity
  • Improve purging, massecuite fluidity
  • Provide speed graining
  • Form sharper crystals
  • Reduce pan boiling and centrifugation time
  • Is in compliance with FDA regulation applicable for sugar processing industry.

DOSAGE & FEEDING

Recommended Use for Pans: Use 1 liter of MAKS 9660 additive for each 250 HL (1000 cubic feet) of ‘A’ or ‘B’ massecuite. The product should be dispersed in 1-3 gallons of water and added to the boiling pan in three shots: one at the start of boiling, one when the strike is approximately 2/3 of its volume, and the final application about 10 to 15 minutes before closing the feeding for brixing up. Use 3/4 of a liter of MAKS 9660 for each 1000 cubic feet of ‘C’ massecuite. Add 1/2 of the solution at the start of boiling and the remainder just before dropping the massecuite. The product can be predispersed with water for ease of application.

Recommended Use for Crystallizers (Lubrication): Use MAKS 9660 to improve fluidity. Make a  solution of 2 liters of MAKS 9660 in 200 liters (50 gallons) of water. In continuous crystallizers, add the solution constantly at  the center of the system where the massecuite has reached its lowest temperature. Add the solution at a rate of 200 liters per 250 HL (50 gallons per 1000 cubic feet) of massecuite. In batch crystallizers, add 200 liters per 250 HL of massecuite. Should more fluidity be required for better purging at a lower temperature, part of the solution should be dripped on the massecuite just before it enters the C mixer.

Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of protective equipment such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.
