MAKS 9652 BIOCIDE FOR MILL SANITATION

MAKS 9652 BIOCIDE FOR MILL SANITATION

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

MAKS 9652 is an organo-sulphur derivate based, broad spectrum microbiocide that can be effective in controlling the growth of algae, bacteria and fungi.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 9652 provides effective control of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria and fungi over a broad pH range in the diffusion and washing stage in sugar mills. It is especially designed for cane sugar manufacturing but is also applied in sugar beet processing.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

  • Effective control of both bacteria and fungi in a broad pH range
  • Prevents the conversion of sucrose and formation of lactic acid with all associated problems in the process
  • Effective against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria
  • Enhanced effect against thermophilic and mesophilic strains of bacteria
  • Improves sucrose yield by reducing losses due to microbiological activity
  • Complies with list of auxiliary technologies for sugar industry – European Regulations

DOSAGE

The specific dosage of MAKS 9652 will vary depending upon the operating characteristics of the diffusion system, the beet quality and the severity of microbio problems encountered. In most cases the combination with other biocides will enhance the product efficiency.

Typical dosage rates are: sugar cane 20 to 40 g/t cane, sugar beet 10 to 40 g/t beet. Monitoring of correct dosage levels is done by analyses of L-lactic acid content (mg/l) and microscope examinations (microbe count).

Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.

FEEDING

In most applications MAKS 9652 should be injected continuously through dosing pump. It can be used in neat form (straight from the packaging) or in diluted form.

Usual points of addition are the wash water, the washed beet transportation belt or the diffusion/recirculation juice (press water box recycled to the diffusion).

MATERIALS: Storage and application equipment (pumps, lines) should be made of stainless steel or plastic material like PE, PP, PVC with ethylene-propylene terpolymer (EPDM) seals. Do not use carbon steel, copper, aluminum, zinc or other divalent metals in contact with the neat product.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.

MAKS 9652 can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.

MAKS 9652  is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.

APPLICATION METHOD AND QUANTITY

The dosage quantity of the product changes according to the operating conditions and water chemistry of the system. BIMAKS representative will propose the appropriate dosage quantity to ensure maximum conditioning performance based on the distributed system parameters.
