MAKS 4000 is a one-component, stabilized, liquid oxidizing bromine microorganism control agent.

PRINCIPAL USES

MAKS 4000 provides efficient and effective control of microbiological growth and associated deposits in industrial cooling towers, once-through cooling systems and pasteurizers. The product is fast acting and effective against almost all microorganisms. MAKS 4000 is a stabilized, bromine based, oxidizing microorganism control agent with good biofilm penetrating and removing characteristics.
MAKS 4000 is designed to effectively penetrate and remove slime deposits and to control the microbiological growth in cooling systems.

DOSAGE

The specific dosage of MAKS 4000 varies depending on the severity of the biological contamination and the nutrient availability. The average dosage for total residual halogen is 0.2-1 ppm. To control the performance of MAKS 4000 treatment, a suitable analytical procedure as well as a test-kit is available.
Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program performance according to your specific system parameters.

FEEDING

MAKS 4000 should be fed continuously or shocked to a location in the system where it will be uniformly mixed and thoroughly distributed or close to the problem area.
MAKS 4000 is an off-gassing liquid, therefore suction lines shall be kept short, dosing pumps shall be installed low down to minimize suction lift, and a degassing valve with bleed back to the container is necessary.
MATERIALS: Storage and application equipments (pumps, lines) should be made of PE, PP, PVC, Vinyl, Viton, Hypalon, Kynar or PTFE. Do not use carbon steel, stainless steel 304 and 316, EPDM, Brass, Aluminum, Neoprene, PU or Buna-N in contact with the neat product.

HANDLING-STORAGE-SHIPPING

As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.
MAKS 4000 can be stored for at least 12 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.
MAKS 4000 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.
