MAKS 2214 COOLING WATER TREATMENT
MAKS 2214 containing synergized polymer type and organic stabilizers with organic and inorganic corrosion inhibitors in liquid form.
The corrosion protection of carbon steel is provided by a medium level of zinc, properly stabilized to guarantee the formation of a protective film, under alkaline conditions. The protection mechanism is mainly cathodic (zinc, bicarbonates) and very effective also in high conductivity systems.
MAKS 2214 is a powerful anti-scale product preventing mineral scales and resisting to time, temperature and pH fluctuation in re-circulating cooling water systems.
MAKS 2214 acts as a corrosion inhibitor, forming a protective film on metal surfaces of carbon steel, admiralty or other copper alloys to prevent pitting and general attacks.
Prevents corrosion and scale formation and fouling deposition in open re-circulating cooling water systems
Provides effective protection on mild steel and copper alloy surfaces
Provides maximum stabilization of zinc
Prevents scale formation and reduces need for acid under alkaline pH conditions
Disperses suspended solids and maintains clean heat transfer surfaces
The specific dosage of MAKS 2214 varies depending on alkalinity level, CaH and pH of the recirculating water.
Your BIMAKS representative will recommend the optimum dosage necessary to ensure maximum program
performance according to your specific system parameters.
MAKS 2214 should be fed neat to a location in the system where it will be uniformly mixed and thoroughly distributed. Do not dilute MAKS 2214 with water. Do not mix MAKS 2214 with any other chemical.
MATERIALS: Storage and application equipments (pumps, lines) should be made of PVC, PP, PE, Plexiglas, Teflon, Hypalon, Penton or Viton. Do not use carbon, steel or stainless steel in contact with the neat product.
As a standard precaution with all chemicals we recommend the use of personal protective equipments such as goggles and rubber gloves when handling. Consult the Material Safety Data Sheet as the only official source of Environmental and Safety information.
MAKS 2214 can be stored for at least 24 months from date of shipping if kept in its original, unopened container and under normal warehouse conditions. Protect from freezing and from exposure to high temperature.
MAKS 2214 is available in non-returnable containers of different sizes.
